    Default Air Charger

    Are air charger a worthy mod? Pretty interested in the Simota Carbon Charger, but not sure if there is disadvantages doing the mod. Will ECU make the car feel back to stock after sometime?

    Simota carbon charger is not air charger. If u are driving a auto car best is use a drop in. Otherwise is will be good to use a good japanese open pod. Go for a better filter.

    Ecu will only limit the filter performance. U will still gain hp but not the max the filter give .

    Its a open pod with a casing. Most of the ppl call it a close pod.

    If you want low end, go for drop in filter and stock airbox..

    Or go for Blitz sonic power. Low end not so affect i think.

    Anyone noe abt Simota Super spiral ? i need info on that on EX...
    cos i used to install this on my vios...quite good...cheap reversible mod..
    realli can feel the effect..

    up to now still haben install cos i dunno wad's the size for the piping on lancer EX...the pipe to from airbox to throttlebody...plus there's many bends on that piping..dunno where or not to fix that spiral in sia...

    can anyone help ?

    I think they call it the Simota turbo ventilator or something right? I think some EX bros here fixed it. Just attach it in your ram pipe, just before the TB. If I'm not mistaken, u can check with bro Jernix but I think he dekitted it with his ADM air charger some time back. Cheers~

    Or u can Custom long stainless steel pipe ... from engine add air charger then another long piping then to apollo kit with out cai just at the fog lamp ... Steel pipe is therma wrap :D

    Woah....u remember sia....kekeke. Sold my simota turbo ventilator liaoz....from how i perceive it...its not bad for pick up as when air travels in, the fan follows suit and rotates the fan to drive more air in at the beginning when u drive off. So picks up, based on theory, improves slightly. Some of my friends and colleagues who tried it, they realised that at constant driving....RPM actually is slightly lesser than normal. Which means that FC shld improve. Dunno why????

    At present, i'm using ADM Air charger version2 (ADM Closed down liao but i think they are clearing stock). From theory, ADM V2 is an improved version cos now the hole is much bigger, thus travelling at higher cruising speed, it does not restrict so much air as per Version 1. And it is on b4 u step u step on the accelerator and spins even faster when u accelerate. Therefore, compared to using simota turbo ventilator, drives much more air to combust.

    To conclude, I feel personnally that simota, due to the diameter of it, it actually restricts air at higher speed and RPM due to the size. I feel that it shld and will create air restriction rather than higher air flow on simota.

    Please dun quote me as it is my personnal experience when i used both of it (Still using ADM) and my 2 cents worth of knowledge.

    u mean its not spiral but more than fan ? force air in ? or...
    sound interesting :P But hor.....more air go in...meaning need more fuel to burn....meaning down in FC ? and more air go in...also got limit rite ? i mean depend on our airbox size... ? Sori for so many question...still learning :)

    ADM is the brand i presume. U can google it and find out more. But the thing is the shop that made it has closed down. Basically, its like a much bigger fan and more powerful. Its not like simota that its self driven, but its runs on electricity. The moment u on your engine, it starts, and when u accelerate, it spins even more depending on how much u floor. When they tested it, the fan was like those kopi tiam huge industrial fan at full power. No joke. Very powerful fan.
