Default Brake Rotor and Rim Sizes

Hi bros, this is a guide for the maximum rotor size that can fit within a particular rim diameter.

    Stock Rotor size: 240 mm
    Stock Caliper type: 1-piston

    15" Rims
    Maximum Rotor Size: 286 mm
    Caliper Mounting: Direct fit

    Aftermarket Options
    • Evo 3/4 2-piston brake calipers with 260 mm rotors
    • Wilwood 2-piston Dynalite brake calipers with 280 mm rotors
    • Wilwood 2-piston Dynalite brake calipers with 280 mm rotors (2 pc)
    • Exzess 2-piston brake calipers with 282 mm rotors
    • VTTR mini 6-piston brake calipers with 286 mm rotors
    • D1 Spec mini 6-piston brake calipers with 286 mm rotors

    16" Rims
    Maximum Rotor Size: 303 mm
    Caliper Mounting: Mounting bracket required

    Aftermarket Options
    • VTTR mini 6-piston brake calipers with 303 mm rotors

    17" Rims
    Maximum Rotor Size: 330 mm
    Caliper Mounting: Mounting bracket required

    Aftermarket Options
    • Wilwood 4-piston Superlite calipers with 330 mm rotors (2 pc)
    • Wilwood 6-piston Superlite calipers with 330 mm rotors (2 pc)

I need to clarify the stock and Evo 3/4 rotor dimensions. Can any bros who know tell me the correct one? I just guess only.

If got any mistakes, please let me know! I'm just sharing what I know. Also, if bros can update on caliper offset clearance, that'll help too!

Lastly, let me know if I missed out any other brake kits!

    Bro,

Nice piece of information on brake systems. It's a good info for newbie like me to seek upgrades. Now I can plan ahead and start looking for prices for each. :D THANK YOU!

    Good info bro.
But do note, rim design plays an important part as well.
Those rim design with spoke curve inwards, chances it that it might not clear the caliper. Best to either make some measurement before installation.
i.e. the rim in the pix might have problem clearing the caliper as the spoke curves inwards

    comparing to this 1

more straight. Easier & higher chance to clear larger rotor.

But best best to measure before buying ; )
