Default CS3 MT Gear Box Oil

    Bros,

Sorry to start a new thread on gear box oil but can't seem to find some information..

    1) What is the viscosity of the original gear box oil they use for our CS3 and what brand is it?

    2) How many litres of gear oil for MT CS3?

    3) What other brands and viscosity of oils that are recommended for MT CS3? For eg, Amsoil, Motul, Torco etc etc...

Hope gurus can advise on this. Thanks in advance!

hahhahaa.. dun expect so much from CS3's gearbox. I suppose most of the bros here find it difficult to shift their gears also.. quite a common problem the last time i checked with the other bros.

Wrong car, but thought I might want to share some EX experiences as well. I also have problem shifting from G1 to G2, and sometimes (although VERY rarely) from G2 to G3. I also sometimes have problem engaging R, although that can be solved by simply releasing clutch pedal, then stepping on it again. I suspect it's the way the gearboxes are designed. Changing my MT trans fluid to a better one did help though. I encounter both problems even less frequently now (used to grind my G2 quite abit) and also smoother when shifting. =)

Agree with Bro Razor. I think CS3 users are experiencing the same issues. Just that for me, I nvr really encountered problems shifting into "R" before.. 1 -> 2 feels hard and grindy.. and true.. a better MT gear oil helps..

Try adding MOS2 into gearbox oil. I have done it and find it good
