Changeover of HU: from 2008 model to 2016 model

I have a 2008 1.5 Ex that caem with the stock HU.

I got a new HU from a 1.6 model and tried to install it in my car. All the elctrics went haywire!

All the errors lighted up on the dash: airbags, ABS, servicing, and the aircon, speedo and tacho won't work too. I quickly went over to C&C but they were too busy to entertain me, although the advisor commented that the HU may not be compatible.

Since the car was working fine before the changeover, I took out the new HU again myself and everything went back to normal.

What could be the problem with the new HU? It was working fine in the 1.6.

Problem solved. 2 etacs wires need to be cut. Otherwise short out the other systems.
